Pradeep Khosla
Pradeep Khosla’s work connects robot design, advanced engineering research, and university leadership. Khosla received an electrical and computer engineering doctorate from Carnegie Mellon in 1986 and became an assistant professor there that year. His academic appointments included electrical engineering and robotics. Khosla and Chris Paredis co-authored Kinematic Design of Serial Link Manipulators from Task Specifications in June 1993. Their study maps task requirements into robot configurations, with analytical methods for two-degree-of-freedom robots and numerical methods for six-degree-of-freedom manipulators.
