Max Jaderberg

Max Jaderberg is president of Isomorphic Labs, a role he took up in January 2026, succeeding Colin Murdoch. At the company, his AI work includes drug-design models such as AlphaFold 3. Vision Factory, an image-recognition company he led as CEO, joined Google in 2014 to become part of Google DeepMind. In 2015 he co-wrote Spatial Transformer Networks, a paper on a learnable module that allows spatial manipulation of data within a network. He co-authored DeepMind's Capture the Flag research in May 2019, and he was one of the AlphaStar team members whose StarCraft II paper appeared in Nature in October 2019.

    Vision Factory joins Google

    He leads Vision Factory as CEO, an image-recognition company that joins Google in 2014 to become part of Google DeepMind.

  2. 2015

    Spatial transformer networks

    He and three colleagues publish Spatial Transformer Networks at NIPS 2015, introducing a learnable module that allows spatial manipulation of data within a network.

  3. May 2019

    Cooperative agents in Capture the Flag

    He co-authors DeepMind's Capture the Flag research post, dated May 2019, on the emergence of complex cooperative agents.

  4. October 2019

    AlphaStar paper in Nature

    He is one of the AlphaStar team members, and the team's StarCraft II paper appears in Nature in October 2019.

  5. November 2025

    Announced as next president

    In November 2025 Isomorphic Labs announces that its Chief AI Officer, Max Jaderberg, will become president.

  6. Since 2026

    President of Isomorphic Labs

    In January 2026 he takes over as president of Isomorphic Labs, succeeding Colin Murdoch. His AI work at the company includes drug-design models such as AlphaFold 3.
