Feiping Nie
Also known as 聂飞平
Feiping Nie is a professor at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China, and his papers include work on feature selection and clustering. He received a computer science Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2009 and then worked at the University of Texas at Arlington from December 2010 to August 2015. In 2010 he co-authored a NIPS paper on robust feature selection, and in 2014 he wrote a KDD paper on clustering with adaptive neighbors. A 2020 list of the most influential people in artificial intelligence, released by Tsinghua University, ranks him fifth in the world in the classic AI subfield. He took up his professorship in China in September 2015.
