Edmond Boyer
Edmond Boyer studies 3D modelling, motion capture and computer vision. His joint research uses learned correspondences to track human shapes across camera observations. He earned a doctorate in Nancy in 1996 with the ISA team at INRIA Lorraine. He conducted research in Cambridge’s engineering department in 1998 and was an associate professor of computer science at Grenoble from 1998 to 2010. Boyer co-authored a CVPR 2015 paper with Chun-Hao Huang, Bibiana do Canto Angonese, Nassir Navab and Slobodan Ilic. It uses random forests to infer correspondences for human-shape tracking and combines them with a surface-tracking framework.
