Dan Halperin
Also known as Danny Halperin, דן הלפרין
Dan Halperin is a computer scientist whose work on robust geometric computing has applications to robotics and automation. He completed his PhD at Tel Aviv University in 1992 under Micha Sharir, then spent three years as a research associate in Stanford's Computer Science Robotics Laboratory. He returned to Tel Aviv University in 1996 and established its Computational Geometry Lab. The IEEE named him a Fellow in 2015, and the ACM named him a Fellow in 2018, both citing robotics and automation. He co-founded Assembrix, an industrial 3D printing startup where he is CTO, and as of October 2026 he is a full professor at Tel Aviv University.
