Chenlin Meng
Chenlin Meng is a researcher on diffusion models, and as of October 2026 is co-founder and Chief Scientist of Pika, an AI video company. Their research includes Denoising Diffusion Implicit Models, a more efficient sampling method from 2020, and SDEdit, an image-editing method from 2021. They completed a mathematics B.S. with distinction at Stanford in June 2020. By 2023 they had co-founded Pika with Demi Guo, and the company announced an $80 million Series B round in June 2024. In July 2024 they shared the ICML 2024 Best Paper Award with Aaron Lou and Stefano Ermon for a paper on discrete diffusion modeling.
Timeline
