Adrian Dalca
Also known as Adrian V. Dalca
Adrian Dalca is a medical-imaging researcher who applies machine learning to brain registration, extraction and segmentation. He earned an S.M. at MIT in 2012 and a Ph.D. there in 2016; he coauthored VoxelMorph in 2018 and SynthStrip in 2022. By 2023, he was an Assistant Professor at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School and a Research Scientist at MIT CSAIL; MICCAI gave him its Young Scientist Publication Impact Award for his 2018 registration paper. In 2025, he coauthored MultiverSeg, and in 2026 he coauthored a framework for joint brain-surface and volume registration. As of October 2026, he is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Martinos Center, directs its Computational Core, and leads a clinical machine-learning group at MIT CSAIL.
