Zhijun Zhang
Also known as 张智军
Zhijun Zhang is a robotics researcher whose work on neural networks for robot manipulators earned him an IEEE Fellow grade in 2026. The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society credits him with contributions to optimized computation and intelligent planning in robotics. In 2013, while at Sun Yat-sen University, he and Yunong Zhang developed an acceleration-level drift-free scheme for redundant robot manipulators. In 2017 he co-authored Zeroing neural networks: A survey in Neurocomputing, and in 2018 he was first author of a paper in IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. As of October 2026, he works at South China University of Technology.
