Trevor Darrell
Also known as Trevor Jackson Darrell
Trevor Darrell is a professor at UC Berkeley whose work on deep networks for images has earned several test-of-time honors. He earned a Penn computer science degree in 1988, then joined Interval Research after his 1996 doctorate. In 2008 he joined the UC Berkeley faculty, where he co-leads the Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research lab. His work includes Caffe, a deep learning framework released in 2014, and the fully convolutional networks paper published at CVPR in 2015. He and his co-authors received three test-of-time awards in 2024, and he is president of Prompt AI, which he co-founded.
