Sonya Huang
Sonya Huang is a Sequoia Capital general partner and AI investor who writes about AI products and speaks with builders. She grew up in Silicon Valley, learned to code in third grade, and studied economics with computer science and statistics/ML at Princeton, where she trained computer-vision neural networks. She joined Sequoia in 2018 after work at Goldman Sachs and TPG, then wrote essays about generative AI and began hosting Sequoia’s Training Data podcast with other partners. As of October 2026, she continues to invest in AI and speaks about AI agents at Sequoia’s annual AI Ascent.
