Sonia Petrone
Petrone earned a statistics PhD in 1989, held positions at Pavia from 1991 to 1998 and Insubria from 1998 to 2001, then joined Bocconi in 2001. She published Improving Prediction from Dirichlet Process Mixtures via Enrichment in JMLR in 2014. It is part of her research on Bayesian nonparametric models for flexible data analysis. Petrone’s research covers exchangeability, predictive modeling, clustering, high-dimensional regression and state-space models. It connects Bayesian foundations with machine learning and uncertainty analysis.
