Satinder Singh Baveja
Satinder Singh Baveja conducted AI research at AT&T Labs from 1998 to 2001 and became an associate professor at Michigan in July 2002. His AT&T topics included reinforcement learning and spoken dialogue. He coauthored work on predictive state representations for dynamic systems in 2004 and their improvement through gradient descent in 2016. These studies develop models for agents with incomplete observations. Singh’s research page focuses on autonomous agents in complex, changing and uncertain environments. It describes combinations of reinforcement learning with deep learning and meta-learning, and research on interaction with people and other agents.
