Sanjay Mehrotra
Sanjay Mehrotra is chairman and chief executive officer of Micron Technology, which TIME counts among only three makers of high-bandwidth memory, a part that powers the current AI expansion. He co-founded SanDisk in 1988 and served as its president and CEO from 2011 until 2016. Micron's board appointed him president and CEO in May 2017, and the Semiconductor Industry Association elected him its 2019 chair. The National Academy of Engineering elected him in 2022, and the SIA honored him with its Noyce Award in 2023. TIME named him to its 2026 TIME100 AI list, which recognizes the 100 most influential people in artificial intelligence.
