Rajeev Chandrasekhar
Rajeev Chandrasekhar is an Indian politician and entrepreneur whose ministerial work included India's AI policy. From July 2021 to June 2024, he served as Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, and in October 2023 seven MeitY working groups handed their first IndiaAI report to him. Before entering politics, he worked as a design engineer and CPU architect at Intel and founded BPL Mobile in 1994. He entered the Rajya Sabha for Karnataka in 2006, joined the BJP in 2018, and won a Nemom seat in the Kerala Assembly in May 2026. As of October 2026, he leads BJP Kerala as its president, a post he took in March 2025.
