Rajat Kumar Jenamani
Rajat Kumar Jenamani builds learning-based physical-caregiving robots. His shared work studies feeding, bite transfer and personalized mealtime assistance. Jenamani wrote his IIT Kharagpur bachelor’s thesis in 2021. It studied optimal multiagent pathfinding with non-unit edge costs and precedence-constrained tasks. He coauthored work on FLAIR for acquiring food from realistic dishes and Feel the Bite for inside-mouth bite transfer using perception and interaction-aware control. Both appeared in 2024. Jenamani is first author of the shared FEAST paper at RSS 2025. The system combines multiple assistance tools and interfaces with behaviour trees adapted by a language model. Its in-home evaluation involved two care recipients and three meals each.
