Phillip Isola
Isola received the 2021 PAMI Young Researcher Award. The prize recognizes early-career research contributions in computer vision. Isola is an EECS associate professor and CSAIL member. He teaches courses in deep learning, computer vision and robotics, and leads a group studying principles of intelligence. His group published the shared study Shared Geometry as a Rosetta Stone in 2026. It examines cross-modal alignment without paired data, following the group’s interest in the common structure of learned representations.
