Researcher

Michele Ceriotti

Ceriotti led COSMO from 2013 after physics training at ETH and three years as an Oxford research fellow. The lab studies atomic-scale materials with statistical mechanics and learning. He received an ERC Starting Grant in 2016 and a Consolidator Grant in 2021. These support a research career focused on predictive modeling of molecules and materials. He is a core developer of metatensor, i-PI and chemiscope. COSMO combines physical models and data science for accurate, efficient atomic simulation.
