Michela Milano
Michela Milano is a professor of artificial intelligence at the University of Bologna, where her research centers on decision support and optimization systems. She studied computer science in Bologna, earning a laurea in 1994 and a doctorate in 1998. In 2015 she became editor-in-chief of the journal Constraints, and in 2016 she became a full professor at Bologna. The Italian government appointed her to an expert group on a national AI strategy in 2019 and again in 2022. Since October 2024 she has directed the Center for Digital Society at Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento.
