Michael Laskey
Michael Laskey’s shared research includes robust imitation learning and cable manipulation. His work includes DART and autonomous cable untangling. With Jonathan Lee, Roy Fox, Anca Dragan and Ken Goldberg, Laskey co-authored DART. The original paper adds noise to demonstrations to help learned robot policies recover from their own errors, with tests in simulation and physical grasping. He co-authored the RSS 2022 paper Autonomously Untangling Long Cables. The system uses perception and robot actions to manipulate tangled cables. Laskey coauthored a 2022 ISRR study on learning single-arm fling motions to smooth garments.
