Researcher

Matthias Grossglauser

Matthias Grossglauser is a professor at EPFL whose research centers on machine learning and stochastic networks. He completed a PhD at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 1998 and won the Cor Baayen Award from ERCIM. Before he joined EPFL as an assistant professor in 2003, he worked at AT&T's research laboratory, and from 2007 to 2010 he led the Internet Laboratory at Nokia Research Center in Helsinki. He joined the Swiss Federal Communications Commission (ComCom) in January 2020, and the IEEE named him a Fellow in 2021 for work on network traffic and data. He is also an ELLIS Fellow and co-directs the Information and Network Dynamics lab at EPFL.
