Martin Golumbic
Also known as Martin Charles Golumbic
Martin Charles Golumbic is a mathematician and computer scientist whose doctoral work centered on comparability graphs. In 1989 he founded the Bar-Ilan Symposium on Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, and in 1990 he became the founding editor-in-chief of Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. He worked at IBM Research in Israel and at Bar-Ilan University before moving to the University of Haifa in 2000, where he founded an institute for interdisciplinary applications of computer science. He became a fellow of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence in 2005, and he received the Lifetime Achievement and Service Award of the Israeli Association for Artificial Intelligence in 2019.
