Marcel Worring
Worring studied for a doctorate at Amsterdam from 1988 to 1993 on shape analysis of digital curves. His research moved from image analysis towards documents, video and content-based retrieval. He co-founded the Innovation Center for Artificial Intelligence in 2018 and became a multimedia-analytics full professor in 2020. Worring’s MultiX program covers learning from images, video, text and graphs, with visual interfaces and human interaction. Applications include health, forensics, cultural heritage and urban analysis.
