Laura Toni
Laura Toni studies learning and signal processing. Her research connects coding and streaming with immersive communications and decisions under uncertainty. Toni received a master’s degree from Bologna in 2005 and a doctorate in 2009. She then completed postdoctoral work at UC San Diego and EPFL. She was a visiting research scientist at Google DeepMind from 2024 to 2025. She received a 2024 to 2025 grant on graph-based machine learning to infer selective toxicity of infectious-disease drug targets.
