Lars Kai Hansen
Lars Kai Hansen studies machine learning, signal processing and cognitive systems. His work includes ensemble methods and models for neuroimaging data. Hansen began his institutional career at DTU in 1990. He earned master’s and doctoral degrees in physics at Copenhagen. He researched brain-state decoding from PET in 1994 and fMRI in 1997. His work also includes methods for visualizing learned models and quantifying uncertainty in neuroimaging. Hansen coauthored BiSSL. The TMLR paper studies alignment between self-supervised pretraining and downstream fine-tuning through bilevel optimization.
