Lachy Groom

Lachy Groom is an angel investor and a co-founder of Physical Intelligence, which develops foundation models for robots. By age 18 he had launched and sold three businesses, and in 2012 he worked at Stripe, an online payments processor. He left Stripe in 2018 to focus on angel investing full-time, backing Figma, Notion, Lattice and Ramp before they became household names. Physical Intelligence emerged from stealth in March 2024 with $70 million in seed funding. A TechCrunch article from July 2026 names him as a co-founder of the company.
