Kevin Knight
Kevin Knight works on computational language research, including methods for deciphering coded texts. Knight and Sujith Ravi co-authored Bayesian Inference for Zodiac and Other Homophonic Ciphers, published at ACL in 2011. They investigated probabilistic inference for cipher analysis. Knight, Beáta Megyesi, and Christiane Schaefer co-authored The Copiale Cipher. Their paper describes the encoded manuscript and the method by which the team deciphered it.
