Joe Dominguez
Joe Dominguez is an energy executive whose work connects AI data-center demand with nuclear power. He studied mechanical engineering and law, served as a federal prosecutor, and joined Exelon in 2002 before becoming ComEd's CEO in 2018. He became CEO of Constellation as the company separated from Exelon in 2022. Constellation signed a 20-year Microsoft agreement in September 2024 to restart Three Mile Island Unit 1; in October 2025, Dominguez described nuclear power and AI demand-response tools as part of meeting data-center demand. TIME named him to its TIME100 AI list in 2026, and he is Constellation's chairman, president and CEO.

2002–2018
From engineering to ComEd
He earns a mechanical-engineering degree at NJIT, enters a master's program in engineering, and then begins law studies at Rutgers. He serves as a federal prosecutor and law-firm partner, then joins Exelon in 2002. He moves through positions of increasing responsibility and becomes ComEd CEO in August 2018.

2021–2022
Moving to Constellation
Exelon names him CEO of Exelon Generation and incoming CEO of Constellation in October 2021. Constellation separates from Exelon and begins trading in February 2022. By June 2022, Dominguez is its CEO and presents nuclear energy as a base for reliable, carbon-free power.

September 2024
A Microsoft nuclear agreement
Constellation signs a 20-year power purchase agreement with Microsoft in September 2024 to restart Three Mile Island Unit 1 as the Crane Clean Energy Center. Dominguez says data centers need carbon-free, reliable power every hour of every day.

October 2025
Power for AI data centers
In October 2025, he describes nuclear power as a fit for AI data centers' continuous electricity demand. He says Constellation uses AI tools to implement demand-response programs that financially incentivize customers to limit usage during peak hours.

Named to TIME100 AI
TIME names him to the TIME100 AI 2026 list, which recognizes influential people in AI and highlights Constellation's work to connect data economy customers with 24/7 nuclear energy.

He becomes chairman of Constellation in August 2026 and continues as its president and CEO.
