Eva Hajičová

Eva Hajičová studies language structure, meaning, and discourse. She connects theoretical linguistics with computational methods and language-research institutions. She coauthored A Functional Approach to Syntax, published in 1969. Hajičová was the first president of the European Chapter of ACL from 1982 to 1987.
