Dragoș Tudorache
As of October 2026, Dragoș Tudorache is a Cabinet Expert in the European Commission, with responsibilities that include cloud and AI. He began as a judge in Galați, then worked on justice in Kosovo, European Commission technology projects and Romania's government. In the European Parliament, he chaired an AI committee and helped negotiate the EU AI Act as a co-rapporteur. Negotiators reached a provisional agreement in December 2023, and Parliament adopted the law in March 2024.

A judge in Galați
He has legal training and serves as a judge in Galați from 1997 to 2002.

Legal work in Kosovo
From 2000, he works as an OSCE unit head in Kosovo. He later leads the UN team of international judges’ legal department there from 2003 to 2005.

Schengen coordination
In 2005, he handles justice and anti-corruption files at the European Commission Delegation in Romania. From 2007, he coordinates the Commission’s Schengen Facility.
