Denis Yarats
As of October 2026, Denis Yarats is co-founder and chief technology officer of Perplexity, an AI-powered search engine. Before that he worked on the Bing search engine at Microsoft, as a staff machine learning engineer at Quora, and as an AI research scientist at Facebook AI Research. In 2021 he co-wrote an ICLR paper on image augmentation for reinforcement learning from pixels. He co-founded Perplexity in 2022 with Aravind Srinivas, Johnny Ho and Andy Konwinski, and its main search engine launched in December 2022.
