Deepak Pathak
Deepak Pathak researches computer vision, machine learning and robotics. His work studies agents that learn skills and generalize from sensory data. Pathak presented ICML 2017 work on curiosity-driven exploration. His research uses data as supervision for learning agents. Pathak held the Raj Reddy chair at CMU in 2024 and researches embodied intelligence with collaborators. He also co-founded Skild AI, which aims to build a foundation model for robotics. His group studies how agents can develop knowledge and acquire skills from raw sensory data. He earned a Berkeley doctorate with Alyosha Efros and Trevor Darrell and studied computer science at IIT Kanpur.
