Researcher

Claire Gardent

Claire Gardent’s work concerns how AI can produce language from structured information. Her research includes linguistic models, neural generation, and shared evaluation tasks. Gardent initiated WebNLG in 2017. The shared task asks systems to generate natural language from knowledge graphs. Her neural generation research spans simplification, summarization, question answering, dialogue, and generation from semantic representations.
