Caroline Green

Also known as Caroline Emmer De Albuquerque Green

Caroline Green is Director of Research and Head of Public Engagement at the University of Oxford's Institute for Ethics in AI. Her research focuses on AI and human rights in health and social care, and in 2022 she published a Nature Aging piece on the human rights of people living in care homes. The Institute launched the five-year Accelerator Fellowship Programme in March 2025, and she leads it. In March 2025, the AI in Social Care Summit agreed a shared definition of responsible AI use in social care. In 2026 she co-authored a Lancet Healthy Longevity paper on AI in long-term care and launched Dedicate, an Oxford social venture for caregivers.
