Bharath Hariharan
Bharath Hariharan studies computer vision and machine learning for problems where large labeled datasets are difficult to obtain. Hariharan is a computer science associate professor at Cornell. His research combines machine learning with geometry and knowledge about specific application domains. His group works on recognizing objects and land information in satellite images, including self-supervised representations and vision-language models. This work addresses the scarcity of large labeled satellite datasets. The group also studies tracking through occlusion and changes in object state. These problems relate to long-video understanding and representations of changing scenes.
