Yu Zheng

Yu Zheng's research centers on urban computing and spatio-temporal data mining, and MIT Technology Review, IEEE and ACM SIGKDD have honored that work. He worked for Microsoft's Beijing team in 2006 and encountered the city's traffic congestion. MIT Technology Review named him one of its Top Innovators under 35 in 2013. He joined JD Finance in 2018 as vice president and chief data scientist, and he received the SIGKDD Test-of-Time Award in 2023 and again in 2024. As of October 2026, he is vice president and chief data scientist of JD.COM and president of JD Intelligent Cities Research.
