Xilin Chen
Also known as 陈熙霖
Xilin Chen is a professor at the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his research on face and sign language recognition has earned him Fellow status from IEEE and ACM. He earned bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at Harbin Institute of Technology in 1988, 1991 and 1994, and became a professor there in 1999. IEEE elected him a Fellow in 2016 and ACM followed in 2019. In 2018 he served as general chair of a face and gesture recognition conference in Xi'an, and in 2022 he served as general chair of a visual communications conference in Suzhou.
