Vedran Dunjko
Vedran Dunjko works at the intersection of quantum computing and AI. His research studies quantum learning algorithms and uses learning methods in quantum systems. Dunjko earned a Zagreb mathematics and computer-science master’s degree in 2007. He switched to quantum information in 2010 and earned a Heriot-Watt theoretical-physics doctorate in 2012. He has focused on quantum machine learning since 2013. He also held postdoctoral research roles in Edinburgh, Innsbruck and Max Planck Quantum Optics through 2018. Dunjko coauthored work on parameterized quantum policies and reinforcement learning for selecting quantum-circuit architectures at NeurIPS 2021.
