Thibault “Tibo” Sottiaux
Thibault Sottiaux, known publicly as Tibo, is an OpenAI engineer and product leader associated with Codex and ChatGPT. His education covered computer science and mathematics at Université catholique de Louvain. Earlier work included applied research, Google engineering, and DeepMind infrastructure. He and colleagues worked on model serving for Gopher, while he and Amelia Glaese were human-data leads for Gemini 1.5. By May 2026, he was head of Codex at OpenAI, and in June OpenAI named him Core Products Lead. He announces products and responds to product users.
