Tapomayukh Bhattacharjee
Tapomayukh Bhattacharjee researches robots that assist people in daily activities. His work studies physical and social interactions in unstructured human environments. Bhattacharjee earned a robotics doctorate at Georgia Tech and completed postdoctoral research at Washington with NIH fellowship support. He also worked at Disney Research. He became an assistant professor at Cornell in summer 2021. His research spans human-robot interaction, haptic perception and manipulation to support activities of daily living. Bhattacharjee co-authored FEAST with a team, including its community researchers. The RSS abstract describes modular mealtime hardware, accessible interaction methods and language-model-adapted behaviour trees, tested in a small in-home study.
