Researcher

Sofia Olhede

Sofia Olhede studies statistical methods for complex data. Her work includes large networks and the structural properties that analysis methods should respect. Olhede earned a mathematics doctorate from Imperial College in 2003. She was a lecturer there from 2002 to 2006 and a senior lecturer from 2006 to 2007. Olhede moved to University College London and became a full professor in 2007. Her research develops methods for data with distributional invariances. Olhede moved to EPFL in 2019. She works on large heterogeneous networks, random fields and point processes, and teaches network analysis and time series.
