Simone Giertz
Simone Giertz is an inventor who made robot comedy out of everyday problems. She studied advertising at vocational school in 2013, posted her first robot video in 2015, and drew wider attention with a clip in 2016. Her 2018 TED talk showed inventions for household tasks, and in June 2019 she unveiled Truckla, a Tesla Model 3 pickup. She founded Yetch Studio in 2022 and described a product workflow from sketches and CAD prototypes through manufacturing in 2025. As of October 2026, she works as a product designer at Yetch Studio; the Laundry Chair is her latest Kickstarter project, and when asked about AI, she said people will keep looking for people they know are real.
