Rodrigo Rodrigues
Rodrigo Rodrigues researches dependable computer systems. His Lisbon research programme also studies infrastructure for machine learning and learning methods for cloud systems. Rodrigues received his MIT doctorate in 2005 under Barbara Liskov. He later led the Dependable Systems Group at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems. He joined Instituto Superior Técnico and INESC-ID as a researcher in 2015. He had earlier served on the faculty at NOVA. Rodrigues and Paolo Romano are key researchers in the Lisbon unit’s machine-learning infrastructure programme. Its HyperJump project uses risk modelling to identify hyperparameter configurations that can be skipped during search.
