Rita Singh

Rita Singh is a research professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where she leads the Center for Voice Intelligence and Security. Her work since 2014 has centered on profiling humans from their voice, a niche at the intersection of AI and voice forensics. She earned a Ph.D. in 1996 at the National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad and joined Carnegie Mellon in 1997. Her team demonstrated a live voice-profiling system at the World Economic Forum in Tianjin, China, in September 2018.
