Regina Barzilay
Regina Barzilay develops machine learning methods for clinical AI and drug discovery, building on earlier language processing research. Barzilay’s group works with Massachusetts General Hospital collaborators on extracting cancer features from clinical documents and learning from imaging data. These are shared research projects aimed at disease modelling and early detection. With chemical engineers and biologists, her group studies molecular representations, biological and physicochemical properties, molecule design, and retrosynthesis.
