Niki Iliadis

As of October 2026, Niki Iliadis is Director, Global AI Governance at The Future Society, and she oversees the Athens Roundtable on AI and the Rule of Law, a platform for international coordination. Her research interests include AI's impact on the SDGs and on children. From October 2023 to November 2024, she co-wrote OECD.AI essays on the Athens Roundtable and the AI Safety Institute Network. In February 2025 she co-wrote an essay on three steps for global AI collaboration beyond the AI Action Summit. In September 2025 she co-wrote an essay on how global red lines can help prevent unacceptable AI risks.

    In November 2024 she co-writes an OECD.AI essay with Frank Ryan and George Gor on how governments can enhance the AI Safety Institute Network.

    The sixth Athens Roundtable

    She and Mai Lynn Miller Nguyen announce the sixth Athens Roundtable on AI and the Rule of Law, with accountability as its theme, in an OECD.AI post from November 2024.

  4. February 2025

    Steps beyond the AI Action Summit

    The essay she co-writes in February 2025 with Constance de Leusse, Kevin Luca Zandermann and Tereza Zoumpalova looks beyond the AI Action Summit and sets out three steps for global AI collaboration.

    Global red lines for AI

    Her September 2025 essay with Stuart Russell, Charbel-Raphael Segerie and Tereza Zoumpalova explores how global red lines can help prevent unacceptable AI risks.
