Nathan Sturtevant
Nathan Sturtevant published Benchmarks for Grid-Based Pathfinding in 2012. He also coauthored Conflict-Based Search for Optimal Multi-Agent Path Finding that year, connecting benchmark resources with multi-agent search. Sturtevant coauthored a 2016 AAAI paper with Robert Holte, Ariel Felner and Guni Sharon on search guaranteed to meet in the middle. A 2017 Artificial Intelligence journal account of MM includes Jingwei Chen as an additional coauthor. Sturtevant’s Moving AI site provides grid, voxel and multi-agent benchmarks, interactive heuristic-search demonstrations and graduate lectures. The site identifies HOG2 as the platform for the demonstrations and related research, supporting reproducible study of search algorithms.
