Michael Strube
Michael Strube earned his Freiburg doctorate in 1996 and held a postdoctoral position at Pennsylvania’s Institute for Research in Cognitive Science from 1997 to 1999. His research interests include discourse semantics and text representations. Strube and Sebastian Martschat’s Latent Structures for Coreference Resolution provides a unified representation of different model structures. The paper compares approaches and analyzes their outputs, making their differences and similarities explicit. With Nafise Sadat Moosavi, Strube studied linguistic features for neural coreference resolvers. Their paper examines transfer to new domains and finds that selecting informative feature values improves generalization in the reported evaluations.
