Marzieh Fadaee
As of October 2026, Marzieh Fadaee is head of Cohere Labs. She earned a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in 2020, with a dissertation on machine translation. Before joining Cohere in 2023, she was natural language processing research lead at Dutch AI startup Zeta Alpha. Cohere promoted her to head of Cohere Labs in September 2025. The Aya Model paper won the Best Paper Award at ACL 2024.
