Also known as Annalisa Verdoliva
Luisa Verdoliva is a full professor at the University of Naples Federico II, where she leads the Multimedia Forensics Lab. Her 2020 review surveyed methods for detecting manipulated images and videos, with special emphasis on deepfakes. She was born in 1972 and earned a laurea in telecommunications engineering at the same university. The IEEE named her a Fellow in 2021 for her contribution to multimedia forensics, and the International Association for Pattern Recognition named her a Fellow in 2026. She took over as editor-in-chief of IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, a term running through 2027.
