Kurt Konolige
Kurt Konolige received his Stanford computer science doctorate in 1984. His thesis, A Deduction Model of Belief and Its Logics, modeled agents with limited inferential resources. Konolige’s work includes introspective and defeasible reasoning and reasoning about cognitive state in multiagent systems. He also held a research position at SRI AI Center and a consulting professorship at Stanford. His work also includes fuzzy control for reactive systems, constraint-based planning, perceptual reasoning and real-time robot vision. These areas connect his formal reasoning work with systems that must interpret information and act.
